An Online Booking Option for Your Business On www.australianbedandbreakfast.com.au

BBFAA has recently launched its new website to address the increasing consumer demand for Internet search and booking functions. We are proud of this news and believe it will significantly improve the experience for visitors wanting more information and direct booking with our members throughout Australia.

BBFAA has commissioned a research study to enable us to more effectively promote our members to the growing market of under 35year olds. Members who offer online booking facilities will increase their appeal to this group and to anyone who prefers the immediacy of using the Internet to organise their travel.

BBFAA is keen to significantly increase the value of our website for you, our members. For this to occur, BBFAA has undertaken the exciting step of connecting www.australianbedandbreakfast.com.au to Tourism Exchange Australia  (TXA).

TXA is a new initiative between the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse(ATDW) and technology partner V3 designed to maximise online marketing and exposure to the Australian tourism industry. With TXA integrated booking programs any booking revenue generated for your business through this site will be deposited directly and automatically into your nominated bank account. This cuts out the waiting period for payment under other programs and removes the need for you to raise tax invoices in order to be paid.

The connection of the BBFAA website to TXA means that you will be able to sell your  business exclusively  through the BBFAA site using 'live' availability and pricing. For  this, BBFAA recommends the new electronic property management system 'frontdesk'.

frontdesk is a comprehensive system designed to assist with your online distribution opportunities. It can also handle the day-to-day management and marketing of your business.

In addition to the BBFAA website you will have access to over 100other travel websites, including most State Government sites such as Discover Tasmania.com,SouthAustralia.com, VisitVictoria.com and WesternAustralia.com. Other states are becoming involved with TXA and moving to bring on their consumer websites. Commercial sites such as Need It Now, TotalTravel, Rates to Go, Lastminute and About Australia and many others are also available through TXA.

BBFAA Members in South Australia have had the option of a V3 online booking facility on the former BBFSA website since the inception of an arrangement with their STO, the South Australian Tourism Commission. Members who have a 'BookNow' button under this arrangement will need to opt in to the new BBFAA agreement and the team at V3 will assist them to do that. They will not experience any break in service and the terms are the same. When all participating South Australian members are switched across, that Distribution Channel will close.

To assist our members in finding out more about the opportunities presented through both TXA and frontdesk, BBFAA has appointed trained V3 staff to call each of our members individually to explain the initiative.

If you are not already conversant with how online booking programs work, or if you would like to know more about the TXA program, we encourage you to actively engage with the V3 staff member who calls you to understand and take advantage of this strategic decision for your business.

In the meantime, if you would like more information on TXA, frontdesk or V3 please visit www.v3sales.com.

The BBFAA office staff is also available to answer any questions you may have about the arrangement between V3 and BBFAA.
